I just saw the new Frozen II movie this past week.
The song The Next Right Thing really stood out to me. My first thought was “Did life coaches write this song?”
I have been coached and mentored by some wonderful women in my life and almost all of them have used this principle to help refocus my thoughts when I don’t know what to do next, or if I get discouraged.
Anna says:
But a tiny voice whispers in my mind
“You are lost, hope is gone
But you must go on
And do the next right thing”
What a wonderful thought!!
Doing “the next right thing” keeps us focused on the present.
We can always handle the present. It is the past and the future that bring us worry.
Write this thought down or commit it to memory and when things get dark or challenging in your life think about Anna from Frozen and “do the next right thing!” It’s how “mountains” are climbed!
(Even if it is the dishes or just getting dressed in the morning!!)
That was our favorite theme from the movie too! Along with the idea that we may be perfectly happy and not want things to change, but they will! Part of change is just growing up but part of it is that life will always change!
